Mills-Peninsula scores clinical excellence awards

Mills-Peninsula has received the 2009 clinical excellence awards for gastrointestinal care, gastrointestinal surgery and general surgery from HealthGrades, the health care ratings company.

The awards place Mills-Peninsula’s clinical outcomes in the top 10 percent nationally for each area of care.

The findings are based on HealthGrades’ eleventh Annual Hospital Quality in America Study, which analyzes more than 41 million Medicare hospitalization records from 2005 to 2007 at the nation’s approximately 5,000 non-federal hospitals.
