    Mills-Peninsula offers a full spectrum of services to help adults and adolescents overcome an eating disorder.

    Services include inpatient, partial hospital and outpatient treatment.
    The goal is to help the individual learn about eating behaviors and how they are related to body image, self esteem, attitude and interpersonal dynamics.

    Our multidisciplinary team designs an individualized treatment plan, beginning with a thorough assessment that includes psychiatric, nutritional and medical components, as appropriate. The patient, family and referring therapist are key participants in treatment planning.

  • Assessment to determine individualized treatment needs
  • Cognitive-behavioral, psychoeducational and psychodynamic approaches
  • Treatment provided at the appropriate level of acuity (inpatient, partial or outpatient)
  • Attention to age-specific and cultural issues

  • Exploration of problem-solving process and development of alternative solutions
  • Education about eating disorders
  • Identifying factors that influence self-image, self-esteem, and self-worth
